Capabilities Management & People
We have a stable and committed workforce. We provide training to make sure that everyone in SAMCO has the skills they require for the work they are asked to do. Our key managers all have extensive aerospace management experience and they all speak, read and write English.
Assembly Our core competence is Assembly. We specialize in the integration of parts procured from a variety of sources into final assemblies that fully satisfy our customers’ design, quality and traceability requirements. We also ensure that all assembly tooling is designed to support efficient working practices and is properly calibrated.
The total area of our Assembly Hall is 4,080 m2 and we have space available to build another facility of 2,500 m2.
Supply Chain Management We are committed to effective Supply Chain management because we believe it is the key to making sure that we meet the cost, delivery, quality and traceability requirements of our customers. All our suppliers of production related items or services are subject to audit at a level appropriate to the goods or services they supply. We operate with an Approved Supplier List that is compatible with the requirements of our customers. We only buy material from approved sources and all our Special Processing is subcontracted to NADCAP approved companies. Subcontract fabrication is undertaken by approved sources using materials that we supply and who work to the requirements of our Operation Sheets.

Manufacturing Engineering We believe that good Manufacturing Engineering is critical to success in aerospace. Our small team of Manufacturing Engineers are fully committed to the principles of Lean Manufacture and make sure that "waste" is eliminated throughout the whole cycle of production. They are also committed to working with our customers and sub-tier suppliers to resolve any conflicts between design intent and product realization.
Information Exchange
We make extensive use of the internet for exchanging engineering and business related information Engineering drawings can be received either in electronic format or in the more traditional paper form. The electronic formats we currently use are: PDF, IGES, STEP and CATIA V5 (UGS NX will become available late 2008). Other engineering and business related information is exchanged using electronic and paper formats appropriate to the requirement.
